We have two artists exhibiting at this beautiful venue this year:
Philippa Young‘s new collection of paintings are inspired by the surrounding landscape and sea. Depending on the atmosphere, light and subject she will paint in either acrylics or watercolours, as for the style it can be impressionistic or realism, however the mood takes her which ultimately is revealed in her paintings.
Billie Willcocks “Sense of place and natural forms are what inspire me. The textural effects of time and weather creating their own composition encourages me to collect raw material and let them create a cameo of the wild landscape. I do not plan a piece – it just evolves.”
6″ x 9″ exhibition
The 6″x 9″ Exhibition will be hosted at Eype Church alongside artists Philippa Young and Billie Willcocks from 11am–5pm daily and throughout Bridport & West Dorset Open Studios 20–29th August 2016. Participating Bridport Open Studios Artists will be presenting small, collectable art works available to purchase.
